Moving a bedridden patient can be challenging. While performing a patient transfer on an average sized person can be difficult and unsafe for both patient and caregiver, with obese patients, the task can be an even greater challenge.

This no-lift transfer system allows a single caregiver to transfer a non or limited ambulatory patient safely and easily. A patient can be laterally transferred from almost any hospital or homecare bed to and from the chair without the fear and risk of injury to either patient or caregiver. Patients that are morbidly obese often find it difficult to move from a sitting position to a standing position, due to the height of a standard chair seat from the floor, the actual seat width and depth, the angle of the seat itself, and a lack of anything to “hold onto” when moving from a sitting to standing position.
